The paint and bake are a collective of artists from the AUT BVA painting department.
We hope to be updating a couple of times a week on the happenings of our art practices and whats up around and about.
The first post comes direct from the Starving Artists Fund Fair at Artspace!!
To help raise money for the grant that they give away annually, the SAF put together a crazy ol' fair the crazy ol' fashioned way!
there were plenty of stalls to choose from including the white elephant where i contemplated buying this beautiful, decrepit typewriter...
Plus our very own Saskia Leek running the coconut shy!
and plenty of BVA painters helping out. Here are Phillip and Lisa at the vegetable animals
And Amber giving out prizes to the lucky few who won the raffles
All in all it was a virtuous way to spend a sunday afternoon as all proceeds went towards a worthy cause.
We'll be aiming to put up profiles of us painters in the coming future and perhaps some tutor interviews and reportage from other events.
